INFORMATION ABOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Our accommodation is located 100 meters away from the sandy beach of Methoni opposite the Venetian Castle and a short distance from the central square of the beach where there are restaurants, cafes and a safe playground. Opposite Methoni is the Sapietsa island with the Coumaris forest, unique in the Mediterranean where it has been included in the Natura 2000 program. You can also see the catacombs of Saint Onoufrios from the early Christian years and the Byzantine church of Aghios Vasilios. Around Methoni  in a short distance are castles of Pylos, Niokastro,  Koroni, and the Palace of the King of Pylos Nestor at 20 km. Famous beaches close us are Lambes, Mavrovouni, Ammos, Finikounda, Loutsa, Marathi, Tsapi, Wiodokilia and Romanos. Hydrobiotopos in Diavari Gialova is one of the great icicles of Greece with aquatic birds and the only African chameleon.
